You already pay a bond-sized rent.
You've paid your rent on time for years. You know you can carry a home loan. The bank's checklist says otherwise.
For tenants ready to own · rent-to-buy
You know you can afford a home. The banks keep saying no. We believe you, and we have the house.
With Lease to Buy you move in now and fix your price today. When you're ready to buy, use any bank. If the banks still say no, borrow from us: Nine Stones Capital finances your home itself.
Who it's for
Banks look at your salary on paper. We look at what you can actually pay each month.
You've paid your rent on time for years. You know you can carry a home loan. The bank's checklist says otherwise.
You earn well, on your own terms. Banks want years of neat statements. We want to see that you can pay.
A judgement, a debt review or a bad year can block a bond for years. Your income and savings say you're ready now.
A R30 000 salary with R20 000 left over each month can be a better fit than a R200 000 income that's already spent.

How it works
You choose how long you want to live in the home before you buy it. Then you choose how to pay for it.
You lease the home and hold the sole right to buy it at the price agreed on day one.
Buy with a bond from any bank, or with cash, and we step out. If the banks still say no, borrow from us. Nine Stones Capital finances your home itself.

Move the sliders. Everything updates as you go.
A longer lease holds your price for longer, so the option fee is higher.
Optional. Only needed if you borrow from us. It's added to your option fee to set your rate.
Your monthly instalment if you borrow from us
R27 920
30 years at a fixed 14.5%. Or get a bond from any bank and we step out.
An illustration, not a quote. Excludes transfer costs, rates, levies and insurance. Your final terms are set out in your signed agreement.
A worked example
A R2.4 million family home on a three-year lease, with a market rent of R16 000 a month.
Rent rises 7% a year. Your purchase price stays at R2 400 000.
In option C the instalment sits below your year-three rent. Add the value of any improvements you've made, and you own more of the home on the day you buy.

The option fee is not refundable. When you buy, it comes off your price in full, as long as you've kept to your lease for the whole period.
The price is set at 20% above the home's current market value and fixed for the whole lease. That premium pays for three things: a price that can't rise for up to five years, the sole right to buy, and a seller who will finance you if a bank won't.
Rent is set at 20% above the top of the market rent for that home and rises 7% a year. During the lease you also pay the rates, levies and maintenance, as an owner would.
